Technology Requirements

It is very important that you have a reliable high-speed Internet connection and are not
using dial-up. If you are unsure of whether or not you have high speed or dial-up then
please contact your Internet provider and ask them. You may also visit  Speedtest  and
run a test yourself.
5 Mbps download recommended (minimum acceptable range of at least 3 Mbps
download)
3 Mbps upload recommended (minimum acceptable range of 1.5 Mbps upload)

Laptops:

Inspire Academy requires all students to use their school-issued laptop to complete
lessons during the school day. Inspire Academy’s laptops are preloaded with the
necessary software that allows full interactions and supervision between the teacher
and students. In the event that the school computer is down while IT is working on
getting it back online, personal devices can be used as back-up. Laptops are issued
each fall during the Registration orientation in-person meeting and must be returned at
the end of the enrollment period for continued maintenance and upgrades as needed.
Parents must keep all boxes and packing materials (including laptop bags and
chargers) to be returned with the laptops at the conclusion of the student’s enrollment
each year.

Laptop Care INspire Online Academy issues school-owned laptops to all students for academic purposes. Students are responsible for the proper care and use of their laptops. The school provides one 9 free replacement for accidental damage. Subsequent replacements will be charged to the family, including a $100 processing fee. No further laptops will be issued to any student in a family with outstanding replacement fees.
